Human by The Killers

I did my best to notice
When the call came down the line
Up to the platform of surrender
I was brought but I was kind

And sometimes I get nervous
When I see an open door
Close your eyes, clear your heart
Cut the cord

Are we human or are we dancer?
My sign is vital, my hands are cold
And I'm on my knees looking for the answer
Are we human or are we dancer?

Pay my respects to grace and virtue
Send my condolences to good
Hear my regards to soul and romance
They always did the best they could

And so long to devotion
You taught me everything I know
Wave goodbye, wish me well
You've gotta let me go

Are we human or are we dancer?
My sign is vital, my hands are cold
And I'm on my knees looking for the answer
Are we human or are we dancer?

Will your system be alright
When you dream of home tonight
There is no message we're receiving
Let me know, is your heart still beating?

Are we human or are we dancer?
My sign is vital, my hands are cold
And I'm on my knees looking for the answer

You've gotta let me know

Are we human or are we dancer?
My sign is vital, my hands are cold
And I'm on my knees looking for the answer
Are we human or are we dancer?

Are we human or are we dancer?
Are we human or are we dancer?

MAYBE WE AINT EITHER

Maybe I need to own a jacket woth bird feathers hot glued to the shoulders to appreciate this song. Or maybe I need to have a pet tiger to understand the meaning of the song. Or maybe I could appreciate this song if I had a video screen set up in the Utah desert that flashed images of myself. But since I don't have any of these I am just confused.

Yah, I was confused at first too, but then an idea struck me.

What if human is the name of his dog, and dancer is the name of his cat....then it kinda makes sense...sort of...

The line about getting nervous with an open door - dogs and cats usually react differently to open doors, especially if one of them is an inside pet.

Then the line about being on his knees looking for the answer - well that just speaks for itself

If it isn't about a dog and a cat, then I'm back in the confused department. You can find me there.
