Damn...this one really hurts.
I lost someone in my musical family.
I grew up listening to Prince and putting his songs on my mix tapes, and I'll listen to him for the rest of my life.
I even got to see him once in concert and he was truly amazing.
Damn it all to hell!
I remember this video vividly, & I always loved this song.
I like the story about when a reporter asked Eric Clapton what it felt like to be the best guitarist, and he replied, "I don't know, ask Prince."
And oh he really was, you should check out his solo - 2004 concert for George Harrison on "While My Guitar Gently Weeps"

Yes there are few times when hearing of the death of an artist sends a chill. He was part of the soundtrack of my young life.
I like the line that says if you don't like the world you are living in take a look around at least you got friends. Man. That's so true. Prince was a little man. He danced good. And wrote rad songs. And had much talent.
