Long distance runner, what you standin' there for?
Get up, get out, get out of the door
Your playin' cold music on the barroom floor
Drowned in your laughter and dead to the core.
There's a dragon with matches that's loose on the town
Takes a whole pail of water just to cool him down.
Fire! Fire on the mountain!
Almost ablaze still you don't feel the heat
It takes all you got just to stay on the beat.
You say it's a livin', we all gotta eat
But you're here alone, there's no one to compete.
If Mercy's a bus'ness, I wish it for you
More than just ashes when your dreams come true.
Fire! Fire on the mountain!
Long distance runner, what you holdin' out for?
Caught in slow motion in a dash for the door.
The flame from your stage has now spread to the floor
You gave all you had. Why you wanna give more?
The more that you give, the more it will take
To the thin line beyond which you really can't fake.
Fire! Fire on the mountain!
SAW A REAL FIRE ON THE MOUNTAIN TODAY IN NEDERLAND.... SOME POWERFUL SHIT...

Wow. I watched that video and they sounded exactly like a high school band. Like a bunch of beginners who were just learning to play with other beginners. Yet they have been a band for many years. Guess they should have spent their days practicing instead of drugging it up. Overrated losers. On the other hand I dig the dude in the OP shorts and he dude with the wrist bands. And I like the lyric about a long distance runner just standing around doing nothing. I often feel that way. That much of my life is wasted.
Wow... I've never been a great fan of the dead but I accept them for who and what they are and that they are loved by many. BTW they have not been the great full dead since jerry Garcia died in the mid 90s. I am glad I am not as negative or judgemental as you. I get pleasure from the simple. And yes... I am a simple man
I am not negative or judgmental. Not at all. I just speak what I feel. I am truthful. More so than you. I don't bullshit myself. I feel sorry for you
Dan, will you please act as a non lame counterweight to lameness?
