Lyrics
I'm all dressed up with nowhere to go
Walkin' with a dead man
I'm all dressed up with nowhere to go
Walkin' with a dead man over my shoulder
Don't run away it's only me
Walkin' with a dead man
I'm all dressed up with nowhere to go
Walkin' with a dead man over my shoulder
Don't run away it's only me
Waiting for an invitation to arrive
Goin' to a party where no one's still alive
Waiting for an invitation to arrive
Goin' to a party where no one's still alive
Goin' to a party where no one's still alive
Waiting for an invitation to arrive
Goin' to a party where no one's still alive
I was struck by lighting, walkin' down the street
I was hit by something last night in my sleep
It's a dead man's party who could ask for more
Everybody's comin', leave your body at the door
Leave your body and soul at the door
I was hit by something last night in my sleep
It's a dead man's party who could ask for more
Everybody's comin', leave your body at the door
Leave your body and soul at the door
Don't run away it's only me
Only me, only me
Only me, only me
I'm all dressed up with nowhere to go
Walkin' with a dead man, with a dead man
Waitin' for an invitation to arrive
Walkin' with a dead man, with a dead man
Walkin' with a dead man, with a dead man
Waitin' for an invitation to arrive
Walkin' with a dead man, with a dead man
I got my best suit and my tie
Shiny silver dollar on either eye
I hear the chauffeur comin' to my door
Says there's room for maybe just one more
Shiny silver dollar on either eye
I hear the chauffeur comin' to my door
Says there's room for maybe just one more
I was struck by lighting, walkin' down the street
I was hit by something last night in my sleep
It's a dead man's party, who could ask for more
Everybody's comin', leave your body at the door
Leave your body and soul at the door
I was hit by something last night in my sleep
It's a dead man's party, who could ask for more
Everybody's comin', leave your body at the door
Leave your body and soul at the door
Don't run away it's only me
Don't be afraid of what you can't see
Don't run away it's only me
Don't be afraid of what you can't see
It's only me
Don't be afraid of what you can't see
Don't run away it's only me
Don't be afraid of what you can't see
It's only me
I was struck by lighting, walkin' down the street
I was hit by something last night in my sleep
It's a dead man's party, who could ask for more
Everybody's comin', leave your body at the door
Leave your body and soul at the door
I was hit by something last night in my sleep
It's a dead man's party, who could ask for more
Everybody's comin', leave your body at the door
Leave your body and soul at the door
Don't run away it's only me
Don't be afraid of what you can't see
Don't run away it's only me
Don't be afraid of what you can't see
Don't be afraid of what you can't see
Don't run away it's only me
Don't be afraid of what you can't see
It's only me
It's only me, only me
It's only me, only me
It's only me, only me
It's only me
It's only me
It's only me, only me
It's only me, only me
It's only me, only me
It's only me
It's only me

Good ol Oingo Boingo - I've been a fan since junior high
It was the first concert I ever went to, with Dave at Red Rocks
Red Hot Chili Peppers were the opening band and it was a great show
Oingo didn't get on stage until it was almost dark
Which was so cool because they lit up their horn section
and you saw their shadows dancing on the rocks behind them
It was so damn cool and they were a big, tight band
I also think they're partially to blame for all the shows I went to in my 20's
You're always chasing that first high
This song appeared in Back to School with Rodney Dangerfield, they were a house band at some party
It's also played at the end of Nightmare Before Christmas
They are one of the few bands where their live album is almost better than the original
It also helps that Danny Elfman is incredibly talented
Yes. Oingo boingo was a band that actually had real musicians. They totally had their own unique sound. I can appreciate that. This song is now a Halloween standard. But there aren’t many Halloween songs.
