I'm no expert on CSN & Young but what we seem to have here is an antiwar song that is a little too vague to be effective. This harkens to Change is Gonna Come, but without the soul.
The reference to getting elected reminds me of the backlash against Nixon for refusing to get out of Vietnam.
I wish it was a catcher toone, because I love a lot of the music made by these men, but I guess not this one.
I read an article in the LA times that said Crosby was basically a drug addicted asshat who alienated everyone he ever worked with. Sad. Why do people have to be mean? Apparently many musicians are egotistical and lame. Why?
