Don't Let The Kids Win by Julia Jacklin

Don't let the kids win, just let them lose

They're not gonna learn anythingIf that's all you choose to playDont let the kids win, just let them fallDon't want them growing up thinkingTwo year olds are good at playing basketball
Don't let your grandmother die while you're awayCheap trip to Thailand's not gonna make up for never getting to say goodbyeDon't let your brother stop thinking you're coolYeah i know he's got a girlfriend now and he's tallerBut that don't mean he stopped looking up to you+
And I've got a feeling that this won't ever changeWe're gonna keep on getting olderIt's gonna keep on feeling strange
Don't let your friends turn coldWhile you burn to greenWhen they walk off a stageEmbrace them and say that's the best shit I've ever seenAnd don't let your sister walk down the aisleWithout pulling her close saying I love youAnd it's okay if I don't see you for a whileAnd i've got a feeling that this won't ever changeWe're gonna keep on getting olderIt's gonna keep on feeling strange
Don't let the time go by without sitting with your mother downAnd asking what life was like for her before you came to be aroundAnd tell her it's okay if she puts herself firstUs kids will be alright if we're not the centre of her universe
And i've got a feeling that this won't ever changeWe're gonna keep on getting olderIt's gonna keep on feeling strangeAnd after a late one, I don't know anythingExcept the more I keep on talking the less breath I got left to sing

yes. i agree with all of it. She has good advice. when you die i will not only go to your funeral, but i will also dance on your grave. it will be a celebration dance because I will have been the one to shove the hatchet into your chest.

also I agree that life is short and we need to be kind and loving to all those around us.
