Rain by The Beatles

If the rain comes they run and hide their heads
They might as well be dead
If the rain comes, if the rain comes

When the sun shines they slip into the shade
(when the sun shines down)
And sip their lemonade
(when the sun shines down)
When the sun shines, when the sun shines

Rain, I don't mind
Shine, the weather's fine

I can show you that when it starts to rain
(when the rain comes down)
Everything's the same
(when the rain comes down)
I can show you, I can show you

Rain, I don't mind
Shine, the weather's fine

Can you hear me, that when it rains and shines
(when it rains and shines)
It's just a state of mind?
(when it rains and shines)
Can you hear me, can you hear me?

Yes. I no longer play in the rain. I avoid it. I complain and stay inside. When the sun shines I stay inside too. I will avoid all that life has to offer. Unless it is on Netflix. Then I will add it to my watchlist but never watch it. The Beatles got my number. They play in the rain though. That’s why they can write songs. Sad

As a kid I thought this song was about worms

And even though they went to hide, we'd eventually see them on the sidewalk anyway

I imagine birds loved the rain, because it brought their food out in the open

I usually threw worms back in the grass after a storm, because they deserved a fighting chance

I love summer rain, and the smell of rain

Kissing in the rain is dynamic - reminds me of a scene in Cinema Paradiso

The Beatles sang a lot about the sun, so this was their ode to the rainy days of home
