Ten Cent Pistol by The Bllack Keys

Well, he ran around
Late at night
Holding hands
Making light
Of everything
That came before
But there she was
Behind the door

She hit them with her ten cent pistol
Because they ruined her name
Well, she hit them with her ten cent pistol
And they've never been the same

There's nothing worse
In this world
Than payback from a
Jealous girl
The laws of man
They don't apply
When blood gets in
A woman's eye

Well, she hit them with her ten cent pistol
Because they ruined her name
Well, she hit them with her ten cent pistol
And they've never been the same

Stars did fall
Thunder rolled
Bugs crawled back
In their holes
The couple screamed
But it was far too late
Cause a jealous heart
Did retaliate

She hit them with her ten cent pistol
Because they ruined her name
Well, she hit them with her ten cent pistol
And they've never been the same

WELL... I DONT KNOW WHAT A TEN CENT PISTOL IS BUT IT SOUNDS LIKE THEY DONE MESSED WITH THE WRONG WOMAN. SPEAKING OF PISTOLS... I HEARD ON NPR A STORY ABOUT HOW 4% OF GUN OWNERS OWN 77% OF THE GUNS IN THIS COUNTRY. AND ONLY 44% OF PEOPLE IN THIS COUNTRY OWN A GUN. THERE IS ONE GUN FOR EVERY MAN WOMAN AND CHILD IN THIS COUNTRY. THATS A BIG CHUNK OF CRAZY.

I like the first line of this song. He ran around at night holding hands. It makes for a fun image. But apparently he held hands with the wrong people. He angered someone and paid the price. I suppose a pistol only costing 10 cents would be pretty lame. Can't buy nothing anymore for 10 cents. I used to go the harmony store on saturdays and buy penny candy. I got 10 of them for 10 cents. Those were good times. The owner of the store used to spend all her time doing puzzles and I would try to help her. But I never was able to. Puzzles are lame. This song is nothing special. It sounds okay but it's not very catchy.

I remember the 10 cent gumball machines

You were splurging when you bought one of those, because of penny candy

I believe we are the last generation where the penny was actually valuable

Although, the galloping horses at King Soopers are only a penny

So I send them out for a run every so often

As for a woman scorned, hell hath no fury

And by the sounds of it, this guy had it coming

I think you could get a box of caps for 10 cents, so those would help

I remember when you could buy four candy bars for a dollar

I earned my candy money by recycling aluminum cans

I spent many an afternoon in the backyard, crushing cans to fit in the bag that I would take to Albertsons on my bike

Yes I used to load up on atomic fire balls. I loved those things. Now you can only get them in specialty shops or online. I would also buy those nasty wax bottles with colored sugar water in them. I knew they were nasty but I kept buying them because they looked so damn interesting. I kept hoping they would taste interesting too. My dad was into nasty candy. Like those pink chalky mints that tasted like pepto bismal and horehounds. I ate them any way and knew where all his hiding places were.
