I Love Rock 'N Roll by Joan Jett and the Blackhearts

I saw him dancing there by the record machine
I knew he must have been about seventeen
The beat was going strong
Playing my favorite song
And I could tell it wouldn't be long till he was with me, yeah me
And I could tell it wouldn't be long till he was with me, yeah me

Singing, I love rock and roll
So put another dime in the jukebox, baby
I love rock and roll
So come and take your time and dance with me
Ow!

He smiled, so I got up and asked for his name
But that don't matter, he said, 'cause it's all the same
He said, "Can I take you home
Where we can be alone?"
And next we were moving on, he was with me, yeah me
Next we were moving on, he was with me, yeah me

Singing, I love rock and roll
So put another dime in the jukebox, baby
I love rock and roll
So come and take your time and dance with me
Ow!

He said, "Can I take you home
Where we can be alone?"
Next we're moving on, he was with me, yeah me
And we'll be moving on and singing that same old song, yeah with me

Singing, I love rock and roll
So put another dime in the jukebox, baby
I love rock and roll
So come and take your time and dance with me

I love rock and roll
So put another dime in the jukebox, baby
I love rock and roll
So come and take your time and dance with

I love rock and roll
So put another dime in the jukebox, baby
I love rock and roll
So come and take your time and dance with

I love rock and roll
So put another dime in the jukebox, baby
I love rock and roll
So come and take your time and dance with

I love rock and roll
So put another dime in the jukebox, baby
I love rock and roll
So come and take your time and dance with me

THIS SONG AND MS. JETT AROUSED MY LITTLE TEN YEAR OLD HEART AND SOUL. I REMEMBER WAITING FOR HOURS FOR THE VIDEO TO PLAY ON MTV.

I remember hearing this song and feeling like I was getting ripped off by having to pay a quarter for songs in the juke box. I also remember LOVING this one. Man it made me feel so tough to lip sync along and pretend that I was Joan jet. Interesting that the gender didn’t matter. A great song

I remember instantly liking this one

Joan Jett is a bad ass mofo

I thought Pat Benatar was tough, but Joan Jett would totally kick her ass

This is a great song with such a classic 80's feel to the video - a pure gem

As far as jukeboxes go, my favorite story is the one by John Mulaney

Where he goes to a restaurant and puts in enough money into the jukebox

~ to play 'What's New Pussycat' ~ 12 times in a row

Then he describes the reactions of all the patrons as the song keeps playing over and over

Hilarious
