Against the Day by Wolf Parade

We were lost on the map
We marked our path but we can't get back
And here on the beach
The night believes it is endless

All is calm now
Seconds fade but the centuries remain, love
We are standing
Against the day
Against the day

You can walk into town
See the same old scene always going down
Along the arcade
A thousand flowers bloom and fade

All is calm, love
Every change is a brand upon the brain here
We are standing
Against the day
Against the day

Friend, isn't it so strange
How the only things that change
Are the ones upon the surface
The restless moss upon the grave
Seems they'll always love the sun
Seems they'll always need one another
Seems they'll always turn and run
At the sight of our blood-covered countenance

All is calm now
Seconds fade but our hearts will still remain, love
They are endless

I will empty my head
Into the night
Under the gaze of Orion
Hand into hand
Together, we'll walk
Into the jaws of the sun, I know
All is gone now
Our only crime
Was living past our prime, love
And standing
Against the day

IF YOU SEE A PARADE OF WOLVES IN THE WILD MY ADVISE IS TO GET THE HELL AWAY. THAT IS NOT NATURAL. AND DONT RUN INTO DEEP SNOW AS MY DAD INSTRUCTED AND THEN HIDE AND HOWL AND THEN LAUGH AS I FLOUNDERED INTO WASTE DEEP SNOW.

These lyrics seem like they were crammed into this music after the music was made. Doesn’t really work at all. There isn’t really a melody. Odd music too. Wolves are awesome in jungle book. Mogley gets to be raised by a whole pack of them. And of course the wolf man is a rad movie with Lon Cheney. He never really looked scary though. Just kinda funny with a big overbite.

Canis Lupus! I'm a huge fan!

I've loved wolves since I was a wee one

"Call of the Wild' & 'White Fang' were two of my favorite books

"American Werewolf in London' scared the crap out of me at age 10

But 'Werewolves of London' is a great song

And there's no connection between the two

I always thought there was

Wolf Parade, the band, sound like a mix between Oingo Boingo & Depeche Mode

To witness a Wolf Parade would be magnificent

To see these guys in concert, not so much

But who knows, they might still have some magic left under their hats
