Sir Duke by Stevie Wonder

Music is a world within itself

With a language we all understand
With an equal opportunity
For all to sing, dance and clap their hands
But just because a record has a groove
Don't make it in the groove
But you can tell right away at letter A
When the people start to move
They can feel it all over
But they can feel it all over people
They can feel it all over
They can feel it all over people, no, yeah
Music knows that it is and always will
Be one of the things that life just won't quit
But here are some of music's pioneers
That time will not allow us to forget now
For there's Basie, Miller, Satchmo
And the king of all, Sir Duke
And with a voice like Ella's ringing out
There's no way the band could lose
You can feel it all over
You can feel it all over people
You can feel it all over
You can feel it all over people
You can feel it all over
You can feel it all over people
You can feel it all over
You can feel it all over people
You can feel it all over
You can feel it all over people
You can feel it all over
You can feel it all over people
You can feel it all over
You can feel it all over people
You can feel it all over
I can feel it all, all, all-all-all over now people
Can't you feel it all over?
Come on, let's feel it all over people
You can feel it all over
Everybody all over people, go

this is a recording session I would have loved to have been a part of. I imagine that when these musicians went home that night after recording this they all felt pretty dam happy. it's such a rad funky tune and clearly everyone was having fun. Stevie wonder is rad. I read a conspiracy theory that Stevie wonder is faking his blindness. which is possibly the stupidest thing I've ever heard.

people are retards.

Hmmm... to what end would a dude fake blindness for 70 years? People who believe things like that are indeed stupid. They need to move to Kansas and let normal people live without dieing in a mass shooting

This is one of my favorites - it's just such a happy song

I Imagine the recoding session was legendary

and people probably floated home from the magical musical residue they took with them

'Music is a world within itself' - what an amazing lyric to start a song

and how he simply says that you can feel music in every part of your mind, body & soul

How cool is that?

Damn Stevie! Dare we say En Fuego?

Of course this is during his prolific 5 album groove - so it makes sense the man couldn't be stopped

I've always been a fan of a great horn section and this one is so damn catchy

I remember riding my bike in the summer, listening to this song on my trusty Walkman

The dry, unforgiving Albuquerque wind trying to choke my spirits

~ but this song got me home in a good mood

Good times
