Just Like Honey by The Jesus and Mary Chain

Listen to the girl
As she takes on half the world
Moving up and so alive
In her honey dripping beehive
Beehive
It's good, so good, it's so good
So good

Walking back to you
Is the hardest thing that
I can do
That I can do for you
For you

I'll be your plastic toy
I'll be your plastic toy
For you

Eating up the scum
Is the hardest thing for
Me to do

Just like honey
Just like honey
Just like honey
Just like honey
Just like honey
Just like honey
Just like honey
Just like honey
Just like honey
Just like honey
Just like honey
Just like honey
Just like honey
Just like honey
Just like honey
Just like honey
Just like honey

It is what it is

This man is a fool. He sits in judgment of his lover. He thinks she is lame for working so hard yet he will be with her anyway. He should walk away and not look back. And yet he flies to her like a sick dog. This song is utterly depressing

Well... That is a reading of this song that had not even occured to me. I thought it was all about sexual infatuation. Interesting.
