Age of Conscent by New Order

Won't you please let me go
These words lie inside they hurt me so
And I'm not the kind that likes to tell you
Just what I want to do
I'm not the kind that needs to tell you
Just what you want me to

I saw you this morning
I thought that you might like to know
I received your message in full a few days ago
I understood every word that it said
And now that I've actually heard it
You're going to regret

And I'm not the kind that likes to tell you
Just what you want me to
You're not the kind that needs to tell me
About the birds and the bees

Do you find this happens all the time
Crucial point one day becomes a crime
And I'm not the kind that likes to tell you
Just what I want to do
I'm not the kind that needs to tell you

I've lost you [x5]
I've lost you [x5]
I've lost you [x5]

I HAVE NO REGRETS...

So often we trap ourselves in situations we could easily get out of if we were just open and Honest with each other. To ourselves. But Kling to people and situations out of fear. Fear of losing something that we are not even certain we want.

This strikes me as a two people in a relationship that were unable to communicate what they really wanted from each other. Whether it was because of laziness, or the inability to express their emotions, or some hidden hostilities, or fear (like Berv noted); it lead them down a path of sadness and pain. It comes as no surprise that he lost her, but let's be honest, it needed to happen so he could write this song.

Indeed it needed to happen. And until you find the person you want to be with really there is no other logical outcome. But logic rarely figures into matters of the heart. I spent most of my collage years with a woman I knew I didnt want to be with. Yet there I was. As Dan said it was lazyness.

Good response primary responder dan
