Boy In The Bubble by Peter Gabriel

It was a slow day,
And the sun was beating
On the soldiers by the side of the road,
There was a bright light,
A shattering of shop windows
The bomb in the baby carriage
Was wired to the radio,
These are the days of miracle and wonder,
This is the long distance call,
The way the camera follows us in slo-mo
The way we look to us all,
The way we look to a distant constellation
That's dying in a corner of the sky,
These are the days of miracle and wonder
And don't cry baby don't cry
Don't cry

It was a dry wind,
And it swept across the desert
And it curled into the circle of birth,
And the dead sand,
Falling on the children
The mothers and the fathers
And the automatic earth,
These are the days of miracle and wonder,
This is the long distance call,
The way the camera follows us in slo-mo
The way we look to us all o-yeah,
The way we look to a distant constellation
That's dying in a corner of the sky,
These are the days of miracle and wonder
And don't cry baby don't cry
Don't cry

It's a turn-around jump shot
It's everybody jump start
It's, every generation throws a hero up the pop charts,
Medicine is magical and magical is art think of
The Boy in the Bubble
And the baby with the baboon heart

And I believe
These are the days of lasers in the jungle,
Lasers in the jungle somewhere,
Staccato signals of constant information,
A loose affiliation of millionaires
And billionaires and baby,
These are the days of miracle and wonder,
This is the long distance call,
The way the camera follows us in slo-mo
The way we look to us all o-yeah,
The way we look to a distant constellation
That's dying in a corner of the sky,
These are the days of miracle and wonder
And don't cry baby don't cry
Don't cry don't cry

YES JACKASS, I AM AWARE THAT PETER GABRIEL DID NOT WRITE THIS SONG. JUST LIKE I AM AWARE THAT PETER GABRIEL WAS THE ORIGIONAL FRONT MAN OF GENISIS. ITS CALLED A COVER JACKASS.

Interesting cover ~ I went back and listened to Paul's version and that is quite the contrast.
I suppose one way to cover a song is to go the exact opposite direction of the original, which at least shows some effort.
This made me think of those commercials where the people are inside those giant plastic bubbles and they ram into each other and go rolling down the hill. This lead me to memories of Berv's hamster in his plastic ball, rolling around in the basement. Good times.

Yes... and your comment made me remember when I was living with ryan in Los Angeles briefly before I got my own place and initially was sleeping on the couch and Mike was living there too and his hamster lived in the same room as the the couch. Well one night that dude got on his hamster wheel and started running right as I went to bed and that mo fo ran all night without stopping and nothing could disused him. In the morning he dropped dead. Probably of a heart attack. Keep commenting bro. Much more interesting.

This cover sucks. Peter Gabriel used to be one of my favorite artists. But then he got old and hasn't recorded anything decent in years. making a song slow don't make it better. And mike was too old to own a hamster at the age of 23.
