(Just Like) Starting Over

Our life together is so precious together,
We have grown - we have grown,
Although our love is still special,
Let's take our chance and fly away somewhere alone,

It's been so long since we took the time,
No-one's to blame,
I know time flies so quikly,
But when I see you darling,
It's like we both are falling in love again,
It'll be just like starting over - starting over,

Everyday we used to make it love,
Why can't we be making love nice and easy,
It's time to spread our wing's and fly,
Don't let another day go by my love,
It'll be just like starting over - starting over,

Why don't we take off alone,
Take a trip far, far away,
We'll be together on our own again,
Like we used to in the early days,
Well, well, well darling,

It's been so long since we took the time,
No-one's to blame,
I know time flies so quikly,
But when I see you darling,
It's like we both are falling in love again,
It'll be just like starting over - starting over,

Everyday we used to make it love,
Why can't we be making love nice and easy,
It's time to spread our wing's and fly,
Don't let another day go by my love,
It'll be just like starting over - starting over,

Our life together is so precious together,
We have grown - we have grown,
Although our love is still special,
Let's take our chance and fly away somewhere alone.

SADLY THEY NEVER GOT THE CHANCE TO TAKE THAT TRIP. HE WAS MURDERED LESS THAN A MONTH AFTER RECORDING THIS SONG

A very fitting song for the first song on out path to 2000. You know I have felt this way many times in my mairrage. Sadly it never works. Maybe it's a good thing he was murdered after his song came out. Cuz he would have been disappointed. You can't ever start over.

I agree, this is the perfect song to start the next chapter.

Good song too, one of my favorites of his.

Starting over is tough, but maybe if you had years apart and then fate threw you back together, starting over could have a chance.

I read recently that this guy claimed to have come from another dimension, and in his dimension The Beatles never broke up, and he had cassette tapes of some of their later albums.

I want to believe this is real, because I want to hear those tapes.

I would give much to visit that dimension. I have a fantasy of being able to travel back to 1964 for the soul purpose of seeing the Beatles at Red Rocks.

I once came up with an idea for a story about a dude who can time travel by taking a drug given to him when he was in the military. I came up with many awesome ideas back when I was young. All by myself with nobody helping me
