Lori Meyers by NOFX

Lori Meyers used to live upstairs
Our parents had been friends for years
Almost every afternoon we'd play forbidden games
At nine years old there's no such thing (as shame)
It wasn't recognition of her face, what brought me back was a familiar mark
As it flashed across the screen
I bought some magazines, some video tape scenes
Incriminating acts, I felt that I could save her

"Who the hell are you to tell me how to live?
You think I sell my body; I merely sell my time.
I ain't no Cinderella, I ain't waiting for no prince,
To save me in fact until just now I was doing just fine.
And on and on.."

"I know what degradation feels like
I felt it on the floor at the factory
Where I worked long before, I took control now I answer to me
The 50K I make this year will go anywhere I please
Where's the problem?"

A STRONG ARGUMENT FOR PORN

I don't see any difference between the work I do and porn. Both are equally degrading or not. Depends how you perceive the world and yourself as a part of the world. I used to love playing naughty games with Amelia as a kid. She grew up to be a teacher and I grew up to be a jerk. Man I miss those days. This is some of the worst music I've ever heard in my life. Yes I know people love punk. And Henry Rollins and his army of fanatics would call me a dumb jerk for not agreeing that this is amazing artful expressive music, and heck there was a time when I would have even tried to pretend to dig it. The stranger and more inaccessible the music the better it is. But not no more. Now I just call it for what it is. Garbage.

If people want to do porn or be a stripper, more power to them - there's a lot of money in it, and if that's how you want to commemorate your youth, so be it

Now as far as punk rock music goes, it's just like most genres, it ranges from awful to great

NOFX is decent, and they had a couple okay songs, but I don't listen to them because they all sound the same

This song has a valid message, but the song itself isn't anything special

All I'm saying is there is some amazing punk music out in that great big world of ours, but just like most things -

you have to dig a little to find the gems

Well... I chose this song mostly because the album cover is so rad. Then the lyrics are pretty good. As far as punk... well its pretty average. But like you said Dan there is some awesome punk.

Well... I think it was probably putin nuke the moon. He was in the KGB then. And Nancy was an astrologist so she was probably saying "Ronnie don't let the reds nuke the moon. It would be bad for our destiny." Putin hates the moon because every time he looks at it he feels gay and that makes him angry and causes him to ride around on horses with is shirt off.
