Me and Mrs. Jones by Billy Paul

Me and Mrs Jones, we got a thing going on
We both know that it's wrong
But it's much too strong to let it go now

We meet ev'ry day at the same cafe
Six-thirty I know she'll be there
Holding hands, making all kinds of plans
While the jukebox plays our favorite song

Me and Mrs, Mrs Jones, Mrs Jones, Mrs Jones
We got a thing going on
We both know that it's wrong
But it's much too strong to let it go now

We gotta be extra careful
That we don't build our hopes too high
Cause she's got her own obligations and so do I
Me, me and Mrs, Mrs Jones, Mrs Jones, Mrs Jones

Well, it's time for us to be leaving
And it hurts so much, it hurts so much inside
And now she'll go her way, I'll go mine
But tomorrow we'll meet at the same place, the same time
Me and Mrs Jones, Mrs Jones, Mrs Jones

I remember this song from my childhood, but only the chorus, I had no idea what was going on with these two

So they meet at this cafe every day, do you think they eat there, or just get coffee?

I think they get coffee

Maybe a muffin

~ Then they proceed to contemplate cheating...every day...at a cafe.

- Classy

Great song - Goodbye Mr Paul.

Mrs. Jones seems like a lame person.

I think they just have coffee. Because both have to go home to dinner with family. And in case you didn't notice berv it take two to have an affair. So if Mrs Jones is lame so is the singer. Cheaters are lame though. You're right. Love this song though.

Never heard this song.
Never heard of Billy Paul.
But he is a cheater so he is automatically lame

I agree - they're both lame - cheaters never win
