Lets Eat Shiitake Mushrooms by Let's Eat Grandma

And he was never invincible (On a shiitake grown island)
And he was never predictable (And he be rocking that boat)
And he was never invincible
And he was never predictable

And he was never invincible
And he was never predictable

Shiitake mushroom, how do you grow?
Enchant me with your glow
You were covered in stone, but you made it now

The water's contaminated with a peculiar illusion
Intoxicated with an electric infusion, intoxicate it
Let's have a chat to the music
We're syncopated cause I remember where to go
Getting in the zone
Move your body, and I had my head bowed
And it was like yo
'Cause I've been living in a buttoned down world
Bottletop girl
Butterscotch flavour, covered in grazes
Come out with his cuties that have blues in the making
Carry on, crazy
Tripping on papers, bet I got bubblegum stuck to my trainers
Admit it, rarity for the flow, I hit a domino
I came a couple, couple times, decapitate my toe
I'm now stuck in this crazed way

And he was never invincible (On a shiitake grown island)
And he was never predictable (And he be rocking that boat)

Shiitake mushroom, how do you grow?
Enchant me with your glow
You were covered in stone, but you made it now

I WENT OUT TO DINNER WITH MY FAMILY ONCE AND MY DAD LOOKED AT AN ITEM ON THE MENUE AND LEANED OVER AND WHISPERED "SHIT-ACHE." AND STARTED LAUGHING. WE LAUGHED THROUGH THE WHOLE MEAL AND EVERYONE WONDERED WHAT WE WERE LAUGHING ABOUT.

Wow. Those girls have spent many years growing their hair. I suppose that's something to be proud of. It's certainly more of an accomplishment than the song they recorded. Drab meaningless high school crap. I love your dad. He made a good joke. Certainly better than that song. I love the image of you and your dad giggling over shit aki mushrooms

This is certainly different, but it's catchy in its own way

I know this seems obvious, but judging by the song and video, I think they picked the wrong type of mushroom to sing about

I would be interested to go to one of their shows to see what their audience would consist of

And I do enjoy the few British phrases thrown into the fray - sound as a pound!

Your dad has always made me chuckle, he's a funny guy

Your high school crap quote made me think of all the albums I/we listened to in high school

There were a lot, but I remember Sophomore - Violent Femmes first album
Junior - They Might Be Giants first album(Nancy Sherrod made me a tape of their first two)
Senior - REM - Green

Yes those were good times. Those were good times with good music.... Okay lots of the music in the 80s sucked. But the cream came to the top. Like the femmes. I kid you not I heard a femmes song on an oldies station. AN OLDIES STATION GODDAMNIT!

At that same dinner my dad and I for some reason arrived later than the rest of the family. We walked into the restaurant and stood there waiting. After a while a woman came out and said "can I help you?" we said "we are meeting our family here for dinner. They may already be here." The lady said "I think you want to be next door." Then we looked around and realized we were in a furniture store.
