Sweet Disposition by The Temper Trap

Sweet disposition
Never too soon
Oh, reckless abandon
Like no one's watching you

A moment of love
A dream
A laugh
A kiss
A cry
Our rights
Our wrongs
A moment of love
A dream
A laugh
A moment of love
A dream
A laugh

So stay there
'Cause I'll be coming over
While our blood's still young
It's so young, it runs
Won't stop 'til it's over
Won't stop to surrender

Songs of desperation
I played them for you

A moment of love
A dream
A laugh
A kiss
A cry
Our rights
Our wrongs
A moment of love
A dream
A laugh
A moment of love
A dream
A laugh

Stay there
'Cause I'll be coming over
While our blood's still young
It's so young, it runs
Won't stop 'til it's over
Won't stop to surrender

Won't stop 'til it's over
Won't stop 'til it's over
Won't stop 'til it's over
Won't stop to surrender

A moment of love
A dream
A laugh
A kiss
A cry
Our rights
Our wrongs
A moment of love
A dream
A laugh
A moment of love
A dream
A laugh

Won't stop 'til it's over
Won't stop 'til it's over
Won't stop 'til it's over
Won't stop to surrender

This video enrages me. The song enrages me. I recognize it as something I would have liked at one point. But now it just enrages. Now I am just tired. This has made me so tired. I just need rest.

The song's beginning reminds me of U2's 'Where The Streets Have No Name'

The video reminds me of one in the 80's that did the same repetitive waves of boring musicians

This song strikes me as another love song to youth

The joy and the freedom of doing whatever the hell you want

Fall in love, break hearts, make mistakes

If something happens - it'll be all right, don't worry about it

The repercussions were like eskimo kisses - you barely felt them

Now after listening to the song a second time (as I do with most) I'll give the video some credit

It captures the fact that this song is just meant to be one repetitive loop

It could go on forever - it's sadistically clever

and the poor girl in the video has figured it out

So she's trying to get out of it, but she never will

Bittersweet tragedy

You could play this song on an elevator

Ooh or a city bus - and after about 15 to 20 minutes people would be like

"For the love of God! - Is this like the same damn song on repeat?"

Oh the fun we could have

No wonder you were tired - you got caught up in.....The Temper Trap Loop

Yes the video is oddly hypnotic. It is also almost exactly copying one of those "Just Dance" video games on Wii so I wonder if it is trying to make some comment there. Well she should enjoy the freedom while she can before age and experience make her less stupid.
