What I Like About You by Los Colorados

Hey
Uh huh huh
Hey
Uh huh huh

What I like about you
You hold me tight
Tell me I'm the only one
Wanna come over tonight, yeah

Keep on whispering in my ear
Tell me all the things that I wanna hear
'Cause it's true
That's what I like about you

What I like about you
You really know how to dance
When you go up, down, jump around
Think about true romance, yeah

Keep on whispering in my ear
Tell me all the things that I wanna hear
'Cause it's true
That's what I like about you
That's what I like about you
That's what I like about you
Wow

Hey

What I like about you
You keep me warm at night
Never wanna let you go
Know you make me feel all right, yeah

Keep on whispering in my ear
Tell me all the things that I wanna hear
'Cause it's true
That's what I like about you
That's what I like about you
That's what I like about you
That's what I like about you
That's what I like about you
That's what I like about you
That's what I like about you

Hey
Uh huh huh
Hey, hey, hey, hey
Uh huh huh, brr
Hey
Uh huh huh
Hey

The romantics were rad. I used to love this video. I think this video is what inspired me to start playing the harmonica. I thought that dude was the shit. The new version is definitely strange and interesting but not nearly as rad. It seems to be just a fucked up version of a rad song and wants to be cool when it really isn't. But the dude can play the accordion and that ain't easily done. So good work.

I had this 45 and this song made it onto many a mixtape

Especially the ones for the ladies

I spent my summers before high school in Laramie

I skateboarded with Andy and all our friends

Well we would all go dancing on the campus of Wyoming at the mini dome on all ages night

that's when we got to hang with the skater girls of Laramie

There was this girl named Liz Finnerty that I was head over heels for

She was part of the group and oh she was beautiful

Anywho - this was my favorite song to dance to

a great mix of teen angst and rock n roll on the dance floor

either this one or Should I Stay or Should I Go were the best

This song always reminds me of those summer nights dancing with my friends

If this was a band's one hit wonder - I would say they reign supreme

But these guys also had the hits Talking in Your Sleep & One in a Million

I forgot about One in a Million - I dig that song too

This cover is different, but they owned it in their own way, so well played

The video for the original is a classic

it's one I would always watch when it popped up on MTV

Yes... this song is closely associated with our youth and I too regularly watched it on MTV back when MTV actually played music video once in a while. What I remember about this song is seeing Aaron dancing up to some chick he was into and she just looked at him and then slapped him and then the football team piled on him because she was dating one of them and then and Aaron was screaming "My comrads! My Comrads!" and we laughed while they held him down and punched him. Ahhhh good times.
