The first time I heard this song I knew I'd heard it before
It was Stevie Wonder's 'Pastime Paradise' of course
Stevie gave him permission and got a percentage off it
But he said he didn't want Coolio to use profanity, so it's one of his few songs without cursing
Stevie did love the finished product though
I never saw the movie 'Dangerous Minds' in which it's featured
But I did get a kick out of Pfeiffer in the music video
Weird Al did his 'Amish Paradise', but he got permission from the record company, because Coolio said no
But Al gave him a percentage of the royalties and Coolio never complained when the checks arrived
Years later in an interview, Coolio said Weird Al covered way more talented artists than him
And it just made him look dumb, so it was one of the dumb things he did
But he was willing to admit he did something stupid
Coolio always seemed like a good guy and a genuinely nice person in interviews
I also enjoyed his song 'Fantastic Voyage'

I have no idea who coolio is. I suppose that makes me stupid. I like weird Al though. And the Amish paradise video is awesome. Stevie wonder is also awesome. He is blind but can play the piano. Me and Burke saw him in concert last year. He is rad
