Wow. That wig she is wearing is a true work of art. She actually went on tv wearing that. Very bold. This song provides much needed comfort to millions of women who are struggling to deal with their lame husbands. Yes I’ve always felt like it’s a free pass to act like a jackass. It’s a pretty sexist. A more updated version of the chorus would go something like this
“If your man isn’t meeting your emotional needs. If you feel like he is gaslighting you. If you feel threatened in any way. You need to reach out for support”
I suppose that version comes with its own problems too
