I Wanna be Your Dog by The Stooges

So messed up I want you here
In my room I want you here
Now we're gonna be Face-to-face
And I'll lay right down In my favorite place
And now I wanna be your dog
Now I wanna be your dog
Now I wanna be your dog
Well c'mon
Now I'm ready to close my eyes
And now I'm ready to close my mind
And now I'm ready to feel your hand
And lose my heart on the burning sands
And now I wanna be your dog
And now I wenna be your dog
Now I wanna be your dog
Well c'mon

I'm guessing that it took less than 5 minutes to write and record this song. The lyrics are clearly from the mind of someone who is lazy and uninspired. The music sounds like it was played by someone who just found a guitar and had no idea what to do with it except plug it into an amplifier and turn up the distortion. This song should never be listened to.

Wow! I am impressed that you listened to the song. Yes. It is very simplistic. It is a one note metaphor. It’s also like a garage band in its complexity. But I do think its a fairly universal feeling. Certainly when it comes to first love or when the power dynamic in a relationship is uneven. I do not believe in banning songs.

I don't believe in banning songs either. But I do think anyone who listens to this song and enjoys it should be executed

I see that you have a very visceral emotional reaction to this song. So actually, this song hit one out of the ballpark as far as impact goes and likely accomplishes exactly what the artist wanted.

No. Actually no. I can give a rats ass about it. But anyone who likes this should die
