The Shyest Time by The Apartments

Shy
Shy

You're stand still you're such a kid
I guess it's for keeps
Wherever you go
Whatever we say
Nothing's for keeps
That's life
Something that
you thought you knew but didn't
Call now
Now it's your call
But nothing's for keeps

Oh it's the shyest time you'll ever know
A book you wish you'd never closed
The shyest, the shyest
Oh it's the shyest time you'll ever know

Here it's November, here it's spring
It's winter there soon
There's so much to say
It's better un-said
Like nothing's for keeps
Midnight, the bus is going
Try to sleep
Was it ever so cold
Or ever so clear
This blankets for you

Oh it's the shyest time you'll ever know
A book you wish you'd never closed
The shyest, the shyest
Oh it's the shyest time you'll ever know

So shy
The shyest time you'll ever know
So shy
Oh you can't see where you are
Never got lost
Can't see where all your friends got scattered
The shyest, the shyest

Oh it's the shyest time you'll ever know
A book you wish you'd never closed
The shyest, the shyest
Oh it's the shyest time you'll ever know
The shyest time
The shyest time
FROM THE SOUNDTRACK TO ONE OF MY FAVE MOVIES FROM MY TEEN YEARS

Well this song is perfect for the 80s. It seems deep and dark and meaningful and really it is just trite garbage. But it works for me. I like this kind of stupid music. Cheedle and ryan cream their jeans over it. They love Depeche mode and gay stuff like that but I try not to berate them too much because I am a good person who is accepting.

Well really what has meaning? Nothing. We give our lives meaning. When I saw this movie I was 16. The main character is 18. I thought, in two years I will graduate. I will be free. I only loosely had the concept that life would be life at 18 just as it was at 16. Just as it is at 42. You must live in the moment

Trivia item. Eric Stultz the actor who plays the main character was originally cast as Marty McFly in Back to the Future. They shot for six weeks before Zemeckis said this aint working and Michael J stepped in. I would love to see the footage of those six weeks.

It would suck balls to be told you were fired after 5 weeks of shooting. It would also suck ass to be the one to tell him. Imagine after all that work and all the money at stake to realize you made a mistake in casting and have to go back and re shoot 5 weeks worth of work with a new actor. No fun. But a good call. Fox was perfect. I have often dreamed of doing something like that to you dude. Filling up your hopes and dreams and then crushing you when you least expect it

I have a hard time even understanding how Stults could have been considered since he and Fox are POLAR opposites. I heard Zemeckis talk about the decision and that his career was literally saved by the studio letting him get Fox. I think that it happened because Steven Speilberg talked them into it.
